Sue’s legal experience runs the gamut including broad real estate acquisition, development, and leasing expertise as well as the general aspects of real estate matters. Her domains of practice vary from acquiring and developing properties to leasing large shopping centers, industrial, and multi-use projects for national and regional developers.
Prior to her tenure at Underhill & Hodge, LLC, Sue spent several years in private practice in Atlanta before joining The Wendy’s Company as Vice President of Corporate and Real Estate Counsel, managing the real estate, acquisition, disposition, and franchise legal teams. From her ten years at The Wendy’s Company, Sue possesses a great deal of experience in transactional real estate law and is especially valuable to corporate legal departments, having led one in her last position. Sue imparts practical advice on management matters in addition to traditional legal counsel to develop best practices for a client’s business. Her decades-long career enables her to provide quick and cost-effective legal services and solutions to clients’ complex real estate and leasing matters.
Sue is licensed to practice law in both Georgia and Ohio. She is a speaker at the annual ICSC law conference and a major contributor to the Princeton Review Law School Companion. She lives in New Albany, OH with her husband, Rich and two sons, Zachary and Josh, and several dogs and cats.
